Privacy Policy

Last updated 2026-11-04. What this website and the Nikkosynth application do with your information — and what they do not.

Short version: the application never sends anything about you or your music. The website collects nothing unless you write to us.

1. The application

Nikkosynth does not require an account and does not collect analytics. It makes exactly one network request in its lifetime: a launch check for a newer version, which asks for a small version file on this domain. That request carries nothing about you beyond what any HTTP request does, and if it fails the application says nothing and carries on.

Your patches, settings and audio stay on your computer. Nothing you play or save is uploaded.

2. Licensing

A licence key is verified offline, with a public key compiled into the application. Your name and e-mail address are part of the signed message, which is why the registration box asks for them; they are not transmitted anywhere when you register.

When you buy a licence, we hold the name, e-mail address, licence type and order details for as long as needed to issue the key and to honour refunds and revocations. We do not sell or share that information.

3. The website

This site sets two values in your browser's local storage: the language you chose and whether you prefer the dark or bright theme. They never leave your browser and are not readable by us.

There are no advertising or analytics cookies, and no third-party trackers.

4. Contact forms and e-mail

If you use the contact form or write to us, we receive what you send: your name, your e-mail address and your message. It is kept only to answer you and to keep a record of support issues, and it is never added to a mailing list without your asking.

The contact form records the sender's IP address and a timestamp for one purpose only — to rate-limit abuse.

5. Payments

Cryptocurrency and Binance Pay payments are handled by their networks and by Binance. We see the transaction identifier and the details you send us to issue the key; we never see your card number or your wallet's private keys. Card payments, when they are added, will be processed by a payment provider who will have their own policy.

6. Your rights

You may ask what we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Write to contact@nikkoid.com from the address concerned and it will be handled.

7. Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be noted in the changelog.
